I'm a designer, visual artist and cat mom based in Washington, D.C. I love to taste-test baked goods + coffee around the city and wear denim on denim. I have a degree in print and digital news design from the Missouri School of Journalism and a passion for all things art and design. Oh, and I also love nature and flowers and incorporating it into my work whenever possible.
I use digital programs to illustrate, design, and make print publications come to life. Currently, I serve as a designer for the Washington Examiner, creating visuals for the weekly news magazine and its online platforms. My previous haunts include the Washington Post and Washington City Paper, where I art directed and designed dozens of newspapers and digital illustrations on lightning-fast deadlines.
I'm convinced that the world needs original creative work more than ever. My specialty is art direction, design, and visual art for human-centered products and experiences, like magazines, newspapers, collage and photo illustrations, editorial and visual art, posters, events, and merchandise.
I am currently available for projects and editorial work. Let's chat! juterb@gmail.com
